  • Sue Brown, LCSW

    Sue specializes in helping adults, adolescents and families manage mood and anxiety disorders, relationship conflict, faith crises, substance use and recovery from trauma.

    She believes the best therapy is collaborative, where the relationship is built on mutual respect and the client is empowered to be the expert in her own life.

    Her approach to therapy is down-to-earth and holistic, meaning she looks at mental health in relation to the client’s body, spirit and lifestyle. She is forever curious and keeps up on the latest research so she can deliver the most effective therapies to her clients.

    Sue has advanced training in EMDR, MBB and DBT and utilizes a blend of other mindfulness-based therapies.

    Sue has a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Utah. She was trained in community clinics, private practice, inpatient and at the University of Utah Hospital where she served for nearly a decade as a crisis worker in the ER.

  • Amber Read, LCSW, MBA

    Amber specializes in helping clients of all ages, including couples, work through depression, anxiety, interpersonal relations, life transitions, trauma and substance use.

    She is known for her gift of putting people at ease. She values meaningful connection and knows that growth and personal healing are rooted in the trusting connections we form with one another.

    She is trained in EMDR and MBB and utilizes Gottman and narrative therapies when working with couples. She is particularly skilled at helping neurodiverse couples and is certified to administer the ADOS-2 and ADI-R for autism assessment.

    Amber's professional journey began ten years ago as a community social worker and therapist and transitioned to hospital administration and ER crisis management.

    Amber has a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Utah and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Western Governors University. She enjoys the challenge of therapy and is constantly learning and expanding her therapist's toolkit.

  • Misty Shields, PMHNP

    Misty is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who works with clients of all ages. She is passionate about helping others live with purpose and connection and strives to build relationships founded on mutual trust. Misty shares a belief in holistic healing and knows that the best mental health care is personalized and collaborative.

    She earned a BSN from the University of Utah and graduated from Maryville University with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) degree. For the past 15 years, she has worked in various mental health settings, including inpatient, the ER for acute care and in outpatient treatment centers. She founded her own mental health clinic and also works with Lemi to provide clinical assessments, medication management as well as mental health and couples counseling.

    Misty is a wife and mother of five cute kids. She is an adventure seeker and loves to ride her road bike, take trips to Moab and explore the beauty this world has to offer. Misty appreciates the gift of life and believes that gratitude is the best way to make positive changes.

  • Tricia Johnson, LCSW

    Tricia specializes in helping teens and adults manage BPD, depression, grief, faith crises and trauma. She also works with couples using a blend of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). She is certified in DBT, which is one of the most effective therapies, particularly for treatment-resistant diagnoses. She has also received advanced training in EFT and somatic therapies.

    She provides a warm and empathic environment for her clients with a therapeutic approach that is person-centered and holistic. She believes in treating the mind and body together to support healing and emotional well-being and tailors therapy to meet the unique needs of each individual.

    Tricia has a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Portland State University. She began her professional career as a therapist for home health and hospice. She later transitioned to crisis and trauma work in the ER before finding her true passion in outpatient therapy. Tricia gained specialized experience working in an outpatient DBT clinic and has enjoyed continuing this work.

    Outside of work, Tricia enjoys spending the majority of her time in nature. She loves to hike, backpack, rock climb and engage in anything that gets her into the great outdoors.

  • Denise Sanders, CCW, CSW

    Denise started her career working in early childhood development and kinship navigation. While facilitating groups for adoptive families, she felt she could do more in the way of one-to-one therapy and enrolled in graduate school.

    During graduate school, she received specialized training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) which focuses on the needs of individuals suffering from trauma-related difficulties, including child maltreatment.

    In addition to helping clients work through anxiety, depression, grief and trauma, Denise is committed to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. She personally understands the complexities of gender and sexual identity and is driven by her desire to create safe spaces for everyone.

    Denise trained at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute, University Hospital ER Crisis and the Children's Service Society of Utah. She is a Certified Crisis Worker (CCW) and has a Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) from Fordham University.

    Denise and her wife love to travel and are on a quest to visit every baseball stadium in America.
