Raegan Velasquez, CMHC

I’ve spent 25 years working with kids and families and more than a decade helping people navigate addiction and recovery. Those two paths might seem different, but for me they’ve always been connected—because when one person struggles, it impacts the whole family. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I’m a certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC), with experience in both methadone treatment and outpatient recovery programs.

When I’m working with children and teens, I focus on helping them build resilience, manage big feelings and develop healthier ways to cope. With parents, I take a collaborative approach, offering tools and support that make family life feel more connected and manageable. In my addiction work, I bring that same compassionate, practical style, meeting people where they are and helping them find hope and stability in recovery.

I’m a big believer that it’s never too early—or too late—to make meaningful changes. My goal is always to create a safe, welcoming space where healing feels possible.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll usually find me crafting, watercolor painting or camping, things that keep me grounded in joy, creativity and nature.
